The Pool
The Monte Sano Club features a 7-lane, 25-meter swimming pool and a separate baby pool. The pool is the heart of the club during the summer season and home to the Monte Sano Makos Swim & Dive team.

Pool Rules
- ●Red Cross or Coast Guard approved flotation devices are strongly recommended for children who do not know how to swim.
- ●Children under 38 inches tall must have a parent or other supervisor in the water at all times. Flotation devices will not be accepted as a substitute.
- ●An adult must accompany all children under the age of 8.
- ●Children between the ages of 8 and 12 must have a Permission Form on file in the pool office before being left at the pool without adult supervision. The child must be able to swim the width of the pool before the Permission Form can be approved.
- ●The lifeguards are not baby-sitters.
- ●Lifeguard orders must be obeyed at all times.
- ●Shoes, smoking, food, and glass are not allowed on the pool deck.
- ●Showers must be taken before getting into the pool, particularly for persons coming off of the volleyball court or tennis courts.
- ●Running on the deck is not allowed.
- ●Sitting, standing, or climbing on pool rails is not allowed.
- ●Only lap swimmers are allowed in the lap lanes.
- ●There will be a 10-minute break for children under the age of 16 before every hour.
- ●Large floats are not allowed in the pool. No floats are allowed in the deep end or in the lap lanes. All floats must be removed from the pool at the request of a lifeguard.
- ●No child over the age of 6 may be in the baby pool at any time.
- ●All babies/toddlers who are not potty trained must wear aquatic diapers.
- ●Proper swimming attire must be worn at all times. Cut-off shorts are not allowed.
Tennis & Pickleball
The Monte Sano Club has a tennis court and 2 pickleball courts. The courts have a magnificent bluff view and a separate picnic area on the bluff. The courts are fenced off from the rest of the Club facilities and are accessible via a separate entrance controlled by a combination lock.
The courts can be used by members even during times when the other facilities of the Club are closed — in particular in the spring before the pool opens and in the fall after the pool closes.

Court Rules
- ●The tennis courts are only for the use of members, summer permit holders, and their guests.
- ●The tennis courts are for tennis only. Bicycles, skates, scooters, and other wheeled vehicles are not allowed on the courts.
- ●Sponsored Club events take precedent over other tennis play.
- ●Please limit play to one hour if others are waiting to play.
- ●Appropriate, soft-sole tennis shoes must be worn on the courts at all times.
